The technologies available in her classroom are a Smart Board, a computer, a VCR and DVD player, and a projector.
This teacher loves her Smart Board, but wishes that she had a better and more up-to-date computer to use for her students. If possible, she would like two computers for the students.
This teacher uses her Smart Board often to teach her students. To get the materials to teach, the teacher uses her own laptop and the classroom computer. They are both a little older, so they are not always trustworthy.
A question that I would ask the teacher is: How has technology enhanced your teaching in the classroom?
What technologies are you going to have available to you in the classroom?
-By the time that I am teaching, there will be more technologies available. There are always new things coming out. Some of the old things will be weeded out already and marked as unsuccessful tools, etc. There are always changes. I believe that computers will still play a major role.
What technologies are not available that you would like to use in the classroom?
-I think that it would be great if each classroom could have their own computers for the students to use instead of having to schedule time in a computer lab.
What are some ways to get technologies into the classroom that are not readily available?
-Some great ideas are to ask the parents to donate materials to the classroom or share their tools. Also, the class can have a fundraiser.
